Influencer Marketing / Social Media – Account Manager

Hypetap ( is looking for motivated, passionate and experienced Account Managers to join the Melbourne team. This is an opportunity for you to be part of an Australian-born leader in one of the fastest growing sectors of social media and content marketing – influencer marketing.

Hypetap was the first tech-focused influencer agency in the region, and we are expanding our team due to another year of growth and client wins in 2021. The role

You will join a highly skilled and knowledgeable team and contribute to campaign strategy, delivery and post-campaign insights with a wide range of clients. Categories range from FMCG, government, education, beauty and fashion to financial institutions and start-ups. No two customer briefs are the same. You’ll be an integral part of designing well-thought-out, market-leading solutions and executing successful campaigns.

This role is an opportunity to work directly with the CEO to manage and develop key clients, as well as grow the client portfolio.

You should be:

  • Able to work in all areas of client management, strategy, creative, content production, paid social media and manage your own projects and teams.
  • Able to develop strong relationships with clients and an understanding of their business and industry
  • On all your account details, and be the go-to person for knowing your clients’ activities
  • Able to use influencer marketing best practices and expertise to constructively educate clients
  • Able to help develop new business
  • Able to collaborate with other teams to execute the influencer marketing element of integrated campaigns
  • Curious, passionate and knowledgeable about all things social media – be on top of current trends and have a good understanding of the leaders in this space
  • A bold, innovative thinker and natural problem solver with a strong work ethic, never satisfied with the status quo
  • A strong doer with exceptional project management skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects
  • Full of energy and a positive attitude
  • Able to follow organizational process and use initiative to suggest changes when beneficial
  • Able to work well under the pressure of an entrepreneurial environment, fast paced and sensitive to deadlines
  • Creative, agile and flexible in the ever-changing social media landscape
  • Good with words; an excellent communicator on all fronts
  • Exposed to Facebook Ads Manager and TikTok Ads Manager. Knowledge of paid social will be favorably appreciated.
  • A quick learner who can work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable with data and numbers
  • With two to three years of experience in a marketing or agency role. The focus on influencer marketing and social media is supportive.

Knowledge of influencer marketing is important for this role. While we’ll provide you with training and give you the tools you need to succeed, you’ll manage staff experienced in running influencer campaigns.
