Girideep Singh (retired) spoke about the importance of empathy in business leaders and the skills needed to thrive in today’s dynamic business environment. He encouraged the participants to maintain the networks formed during the training and to share the knowledge acquired at their workplace.

Director of IIM-Vizag, Prof. M Chandrasekhar, quoted Institute Board Member Ameeta Chatterjee in her book – “Joyful Living: Reflections of a Happy Soul” to say that “the qualities the most important ones one needs to possess are the 4Ts – sincerity, thoughtfulness, friendliness and tenderness.
“The merging of these qualities will help any individual perform well in the organizational context,” Prof. Chandrasekhar added. He asked participants to apply the knowledge gained in the training to challenges in the workplace.
Sharing the experience of the personalized training program, Goura Kishore Nanda of HSL said; “The learnings from the program were insightful and enlightening, as we could look at issues with a fresh perspective and think about likely management principles to address existing issues in the organization.”
Another participant, Sushil Kumar, shared how he can seek knowledge and learn various topics ranging from strategic planning to marketing that would be beneficial in his field of work.
A third participant, Sudhir, also endorsed the usefulness of the CDM and how all the management topics were delivered in an interesting way, making them ask for more.
The five-day program, led by Prof. Balaji Subramanian and Prof. MV Anuradha, covered all typical management functions, with a particular focus on topics such as project management, contract management, design thinking , innovation, customer management, communication, stress management, and interpersonal effectiveness.
