Raipur: The Chhattisgarh government has launched an e-Panchayat portal to monitor and execute development works in the state’s 11,000 gram panchayats. The prepared E-Panchayat web portal will serve as a platform for better implementation, evaluation, monitoring and training of state and central government programs with transparency.
The Panchayat and Rural Development Minister TS Singh Deo have launched the e-Panchayat Chhattisgarh portal (, which aims to serve as a holistic platform to enable and improve governance. It will focus on building a robust system within rural development and infrastructure of Panchayati Raj, defining digital processes and workflows through this portal to enable them to integrate digital functions, governance and services covering internal administration, planning, monitoring and execution, officials said.
According to the officials of the panchayat and the department of rural development, the portal will provide information on the development activities of the department, it will be possible to have transparency and precise targeting of the development plans towards the most eligible beneficiaries.
Through the portal, online payment of salaries for Panchayat Secretaries working in Gram Panchayats across the state will be done through the Panchayat Department’s Human Resource Management System software. The learning management system will broadcast the learning videos related to Panchayati Raj institutions issued by the state and central government. A knowledge management system for compiling documents related to departmental ordinances, notifications and acts by the Directorate of Panchayats and a survey module has also been developed for collecting basic information on the first 100 points of Gram Sabha at Gram Panchayats.
