ROME – Cathedral Corporation, 632 Ellsworth Road, has been named one of 23 manufacturing companies from over 160 nominees selected as finalists for the Sterling Manufacturing Business Excellence (SMBE) awards.

The Sterling Council and FloridaMakes collaborate on the SMBE Awards to recognize the state’s top performing makers. Companies are judged on several categories of criteria: leadership, strategy, customers, measurement, analysis and knowledge management, people and operations.

Cathedral’s client, Hillsborough County Tax Collector’s Office, named Cathedral, saying, “Cathedral is an invaluable supplier to us at the Hillsborough County Tax Collector’s Office. Their ability to merge complex monthly data into our county model to create personalized registration renewals and parking permit requests is an important process and impacts our reputation. Cathedral’s programming, data processing, printing and mailing services all help us meet and exceed our customers’ requirements. Cathedral CASS also certifies our data to achieve the lowest possible postage rates and increase deliverability. This increases the satisfaction of our community members and reduces tax expenditures.

Additionally, Cathedral has prepared statistical reports that support Hillsborough County’s continuous improvement processes.
